Overtaking Process: Practice Questions

This topic breaks overtaking into steps. The sequence is look, assess, decide and act, and at the assess stage you ask whether overtaking is allowed here and whether it is safe. The action routine is mirrors, signal, shoulder check, speed, move. Signal left, check the left blind spot, accelerate to pass quickly without exceeding the speed limit, and leave enough side space. Return to the right when you can see the overtaken vehicle in your interior mirror. If you decide not to overtake, stay behind at a safe distance, and sound the horn or flash your lights if unsure the driver has noticed you.
