Work Zone Signs: Practice Questions

Temporary work-area signs are yellow with a red frame and use the same shapes as ordinary warning, regulatory and guide signs, but they are placed only while work is under way. This topic covers signs for road works, temporary traffic lights, lane closures, detours, flaggers, two-way traffic in the work area and the end of the work zone. You will also identify devices such as cones, barrels, tubular markers, light panels and barriers. When you meet these signs, slow down, watch for workers and machinery, and follow a flagger's signals.
